They Came from Beyond Space (1967)
This film must have been inspirational to Stephen King, as the plot of his book "The Tommyknockers" is almost identical to the plot of this movie - right down to the hero with a metal plate in his head. Cheesy, 1967 fun

Salvador Dali did a sketch of this idea and Philippe Halsman took the photo in 1951. The movie poster for "The Descent" totally rips off this famous piece of artwork. I wonder how many movie goers will realize this.
